Today was a special trip to the zoo for 3 reasons:
1. Abby's favorite animal was out. The tiger is usually hiding or sleeping.
She talked about him the entire rest of the day.
2. Our friend Tati came with us!
3. Tati bought food (mostly shrimp?) to feed the stingrays.
We've never bought food but it was so much fun. Abby was super brave and grabbed the shrimp and put her hand right in the water. You have to hold the food down low and let the stingray eat from its underside. The lady overseeing the stingrays was surprised Abby was doing as much as she was and commented that she must have fed them many times before. Nope! The stingrays went nuts and splashed water out of the tank, drenching Tati's jeans.
Next we visited the manatees and sea turtles.
Abby made a new friend.
