Oops, it's been a month since my last post. I definitely have some catching up to do. I was sick for about a month with bronchitis and then walking pneumonia so we've been a little out of sorts around here.
Let's jump to the fun stuff first. Disney! Where better to spend Robert's birthday than The Happiest Place on Earth?
Too bad Abby doesn't look all that happy...
She was excited once she saw Minnie.
Dance, Abby, dance!
We bit the bullet and bought Florida resident annual passes this week and the great thing about having passes is that you can go for 1/2 a day and then head home. You don't have to exhaust yourselves to make it worth the money because you can always come back next week. So what ride was up first? Alice in Wonderland teacups, of course. Abby talked about the teacups for quite awhile after our Christmas visit.
Abby didn't like the spinning quite as much as last time.
So pretty.
Next ride: It's a Small World. This was the first time Robert and I had been on this ride, too. It was super cute and we were humming the song for hours afterwards.
In the boat!
Pretty magical, right?
I got a little carried away with photos but every scene was so interesting.
So beautiful!
Abby was mesmerized.
"Goodbye" in several different languages.
Abby usually naps around noon and we stayed at the park until 2:00. She was a tired little girl.
Our sitter Meghan gave Abby a $25 Disney gift card at Christmas. We told Abby she had could pick something out in the gift shop and she went to the Minnie ears right away. I tried to talk her into black ears with a red bow but she was set on these crazy pink ones. She plopped them up on the counter and slid the gift card over to the cashier with a big smile on her face. Robert and I thought it was the funniest thing. She seemed so grown up making a purchase like that!
I see trouble!
We popped into a candy shop on the way out and used the remaining balance on her gift card to purchase some cotton candy. One of Abby's Maisy books has cotton candy and she never knows what I'm talking about so I wanted to fix that.
Silly girl! I'll have to pick up a Mickey cookie cutter someday.
Inspecting the treat.
Mmmm.
She was very concerned about her sticky fingers and we had to keep cleaning them off. My little neat freak! Her tidiness cracks me up.
Family selfie in the monorail on the way back to our car.
Fun day? Check.
We're looking forward to exploring the parks little by little this next year. There are calendars online that show how big the crowds are on a given day, so we plan on using that to our advantage.
Robert, your girls love you so much! We wish you a very happy 36th year and hope it brings you much joy, love and happiness. xoxo
